Description
Villa Guardini, is a beautiful, glamour Liberty style villa, located in the town of Varenna. It’s very famous since it was the summer residence of Romano Guardini renowned Italian presbyter, theologian and writer of Catholic religon. He was born in Verona on17th February, 1885 and died in Munich on 1st October, 1968
He used to spend his summer vacation in this Villa to find peace and inspiration surrounded by nature.
In this Villa he wrote his most significant text “Lettere del lago di como” which contains the reflections of the author on the relationship between man, nature and modernity.
As it was for Guardini, also nowadays entering in the villa you are immediately covered by a peaceful sense also thanks to the amazing view of the lake and mountains that can be admired while drinking a good glass of wine on the equipped terrace of the villa, or relaxing in the garden at the sunset breeze.
Villa Guardini is an historical building with large inside spaces with precious art déco furniture and classic Italian garden with pergolas, ivy and stone pillars which offer majestic and character to the outside space.
Entering through the terrace at ground floor there is the living zone composed by entrance, dining room, equipped kitchen and a bathroom with shower. On the first floor there is the night zone with three bedrooms with double bed and lake or garden view, further a bathroom with shower. The guests have also a parking for one car.
Equipment: WI-FI, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster, cooking tools, iron and ironing board, phon, etc.
Villa Guardini is in a strategic position, at few steps from all services, Lake, ferry depot and railway station which connect Varenna to all the neighbour locations.
