Light clothes\u2026 and a jacket!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

During the day, temperatures can get quite high, especially in July and early August, so pack light, breathable clothing. That said, don\u2019t underestimate the evenings: even in summer, once the sun goes down, it can feel unexpectedly cool. If you’re planning dinner by the lake or an evening boat ride, be sure to bring a light jacket or a sweater.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moreover, many of the Lake\u2019s most beautiful sites are historical churches and chapels, which may require modest dress. It\u2019s good etiquette (and often mandatory) to cover shoulders and knees when entering. A light shawl or scarf works perfectly too and takes up no space in your bag.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Remember to prioritise comfort over fashion! Cobblestone alleys, lakeside trails, and mountain paths are part of the experience. So swap those fancy shoes for a good pair of walking sneakers – your feet will thank you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you\u2019re hoping to swim in the Lake, you can definitely do it! The water is clean, refreshing, and incredibly scenic. But be warned: the lakebed is often rocky, so a pair of water shoes will make your experience much more comfortable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Swimming in Lake Como can be dangerous if you go too far from shore, as the depth drops quickly and currents are unpredictable. Stick close to the beach, and for children, we always recommend floatation aids or arm bands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The sun can be intense, especially when you’re on a boat or walking along the reflecting surface of water. Make sure to pack: high-SPF sunscreen, a hat and UV-protection sunglasses. If you plan to explore the lake by boat, these are essential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
