Como city market<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The biggest and most famous is the open-air market in Como, held every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday morning in the area around Porta Torre, the medieval gateway to the old city. It\u2019s busy but full of energy\u2014perfect if you enjoy a treasure hunt: here you\u2019ll find countless cheap but trendy clothing, quality underwear, colorful accessories and a few, interesting antiquaries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For food shopping, don’t miss the Mercato Coperto (Covered Market) nearby, which is open during the week and specializes in local products: honey, olive oil, lake fish, cheeses from the Alps, artisan breads, but even flower stalls. Bellano weekly market<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If you’re staying closer to Varenna, Bellano offers a charming local market every Thursday morning. It’s smaller than Como\u2019s, but very welcoming, and right on the Lake side, along Viale T. Grossi. You\u2019ll find fresh fruits, vegetables, cheeses, clothes, and sometimes even small handicrafts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
